So, you’re coming to Lisbon with someone special — and you want more than selfies to remember it.
Whether it’s your honeymoon, anniversary, engagement trip, or just a much-needed getaway, a photo session can turn your time together into lasting memories. And Lisbon? Let’s just say the light does half the work for us.
As a local photographer, I’ve worked with couples from all over the world — and here’s everything you need to know if you’re thinking about planning a session while you’re here.

Why Lisbon Is Perfect for Couple Sessions
Lisbon is a city of light, color, and texture — narrow alleys, tiled façades, open squares, quiet gardens and river views. It’s romantic without trying too hard.
You don’t need to pose stiffly or stand in front of monuments.
You can walk, laugh, talk — and the city will do the rest. Some spots feel like movie sets. Others feel like private moments, just yours.
What Happens During a Session?
It’s simple. No pressure, no awkward poses. Just the two of you being yourselves.
Here’s how it usually works:
- We choose a location (or a mix of a few)
- I guide you gently while keeping things natural
- We walk, stop for photos, and let the light guide us
- I capture candid and relaxed moments — no stress
It’s like a mini adventure through Lisbon, with great photos at the end.
What Should You Wear?
You don’t need to overthink it — but comfort and confidence go a long way.
Some tips:
- Avoid busy patterns or neon colors
- Coordinate without matching exactly
- Choose clothes you can move in and feel good wearing
- Light fabrics work beautifully with Lisbon’s warm tones
Pro tip: bring a second outfit if we’re doing more than one location.
Best Places in Lisbon for Couple Photos
There’s no one-size-fits-all. I always adapt to your style, mood and time of day — but some favourites include:
- Alfama: rustic alleys, tiled walls, quiet charm
- Praça do Comércio: wide open light, river views
- Miradouros: sunset magic and dramatic backdrops
- Bica & Pink Street: colourful, playful and urban
- Hidden gardens & local cafés: quiet and personal
Want something extra? We can cross the river to Cacilhas or shoot by the sea in Cascais.
How Long Does a Session Take?
Most sessions are 1 hour, which gives us plenty of time to explore a location and get a variety of shots. If you want multiple locations or a more relaxed pace, we can do a 90-minute or 2-hour session.
You’ll receive:
- 40 to 60 professionally edited photos
- Delivered in high resolution via private online gallery
- Within 5 to 7 days
When Should You Book?
I recommend booking at least a few days in advance, especially if you want golden hour (late afternoon) or sunrise (for quieter streets).
But if you’re already in Lisbon — feel free to message me! If I have availability, I’ll be happy to fit you in.
