Miradouro da Senhora do Monte
The highest viewpoint in Lisbon. Panoramic views over the castle, the Tagus and the whole city. Calmer than other miradouros, especially at golden hour.

One of Lisbon’s most photographed viewpoints — wide, open space with the castle and city spread out below. Large enough to always find a private corner.

A leafy garden square with a giant cedar tree and quiet benches. A gentler, greener alternative to the miradouros, good if crowds aren’t your thing.

A private rooftop removes the crowd question entirely. This kind of setting — a terrace overlooking Alfama’s rooftops — stays completely undisturbed.

Where is the best place to propose in Lisbon?
For panoramic light and space, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte or Graça are hard to beat. For privacy, the Alfama alleys or Ponto Final across the river. For sunset, Belém riverside. The “best” spot depends on the atmosphere you want and how private you’d like it.
How do you photograph a proposal without the couple noticing?
We plan the position and a discreet signal in advance, arrive early, and stay at a natural distance with a long lens. Your partner never needs to notice the photographer until after the “yes”.
What if the weather changes on the day?
We always plan a nearby backup and offer free rescheduling if the weather turns. In Lisbon there’s usually a good alternative just minutes away.
Do you also shoot proposals outside Lisbon?
Yes — we photograph proposals across Sintra, Cascais and beyond. Cabo da Roca and the Cascais coastline are popular for dramatic cliff-and-ocean settings.
